"Bahraini Salafi Adel Almawdah called on the Gulf Cooperation Council –
Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar and UAE -- to rescue Jordan from what he
described as a popular movement created to overthrown Jordan’ monarchy.
Alayam newspaper quoted Almawedah - a member of Salafist Alasalah
Association – as saying “All Gulf countries need to provide urgent assistance to
Jordan … with no postponement - as to prevent the fall of the regime.” He
suggested the GCC could subsidize Jordan’s energy needs to let the situation
